Get the white one! Black is hard to keep spotless.Controls are inconsistent... all have different number ranges. Should be 0=off thru 10=always On. Black shows every little spot of ANYTHING, drips from the lids of pots (H20) leave spots of the impurities in *steam*!! Razor and non-abrasive scour-pad are necessity. The elements are very efficient though, once you get each one figured out.

negativeIt is a mess to clean. Too much trouble for the simplest uses. It burns things even on the lowest settings on the special burner. The three back burners are useless. It always has a haze. You have to be extremely careful when you move a pot not to slide it. But it gets scratches anyway. I do not like the stove and wish I could go back to my coils. I tried to do that at my own expense, but the cutout was too large for any other 36" cook top with coils. I am not the only one who thinks this way.
In fact, when I built my house 38 years ago, I put a glass ceramic cook top in. Within weeks, I had it taken out. It was too difficult to cook on (and I am a good cook). I would have to replace all my countertops to go back to my coils. I was hoping that the ceramics had improved over the years, but I was very wrong. I am very disappointed and would definitely not recommend it to anyone, particularly a friend.
